Constitutional Amendment Washington D.C. (proposed) Art. 1, § 3 (in part). Freedom from Discrimination. Every natural person shall have a fundamental right to the equal protection of the law and to be free from historic group discrimination, public or private, based on race, color, religion, creed, citizenship, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, poverty, or parentage. Art. 1, § 5. Due Process. The State shall not deprive any natural person of life, liberty, or property without due process of law. The right of all persons to fair and just treatment in the course of legislative and executive investigations shall not be abridged. Top of Page
